Rotaku Receives U.S. Fund Backing to Build the Next Generation of Humanoid Robots

Rotaku has received backing from a U.S.-based early-stage fund. We are building affordable, dexterous humanoid robots for developers, researchers, and the future of physical intelligence.

For us, this support is more than a financing milestone. It represents early recognition of a long-term belief: artificial intelligence will not remain behind screens forever. The next major platform shift will happen when intelligence gains a capable physical body.

That is the future Rotaku is building toward.

Why This Backing Matters to Us

Building humanoid robots is not a simple product category. It requires deep integration across mechanical design, actuation, embedded systems, control, perception, simulation, AI training, manufacturing, cost structure, and product design.

Every layer affects every other layer. Motor selection changes how the robot moves. Structural design changes the control strategy. Battery design affects runtime and usability. Software architecture determines how developers can build on top of the platform.

This is why we believe humanoid robots must be built with a long-term mindset.

They are not products that can be completed through short-term packaging, nor are they machines built only for stage demonstrations. They require continuous engineering iteration, real-world testing, cost optimization, control algorithms, data collection, and productization.

We believe this is a difficult path, but also one of the most important directions in technology.

Rotaku’s goal is clear: to keep building with long-term conviction and create a world-class humanoid robotics platform.

Affordable Humanoids for Developers

One of our core goals is to make humanoid development more accessible.

Today, most humanoid robots are either extremely expensive, highly closed, or simply unavailable to independent developers and smaller research teams. This slows down the entire robotics ecosystem.

Rotaku is building a more accessible humanoid platform for people who want to build, test, train, and deploy real robot behaviors.

Our robots are designed for developers who want to explore whole-body policy training, locomotion, manipulation, teleoperation, embodied AI, and real-world robotic applications.

We believe the next wave of robotics innovation will not come from one company alone. It will come from a larger ecosystem of builders.

To create that ecosystem, real hardware must become easier to access, easier to scale, and easier for developers to actually use.

Supporting a Long-Term Mission

This backing gives us the opportunity to pursue a difficult but important direction.

We are not building humanoid robots only as consumer electronics or industrial machines. We believe humanoid robots will become a key interface between artificial intelligence and the physical world.

At the current stage, they can support research, development, teleoperation, education, entertainment, and light assistance. As hardware, control algorithms, and AI models continue to improve, they will gradually participate in manufacturing, infrastructure, scientific work, emergency response, and even environments beyond Earth.

This is a long road, but it is worth building for the long term.

AI needs a body. Developers need accessible humanoid hardware. The physical world needs intelligence that can move, manipulate, and build. Human civilization needs tools that extend what the biological body alone can do.

With this support, Rotaku will continue bringing physical intelligence into the real world through affordable, dexterous, expressive humanoid robots built for developers.

Rotaku's manifesto

Rotaku was not born from ordinary optimism. We build humanoid robots as an act of resistance against a soulless age — to bring spirit, discipline, and physical intelligence back into technology.
